MOVING OUT INFORMATION

Details you should know...

 See below for further information you must be aware of:

Management MUST BE ADVISED, at least 3 days in advance of any intention to Move Out of the Building

Important Information

Please note the following instructions to help your moving out day run smoothly:

  

The following guidelines are in place due to multiple instances of interference, damage or clean-up left to the Body Corporate:

  

  • In all instances management must be advised a minimum of 3 days in advance.
  • In all instances, the resident must pay a $250 cash damage deposit and / or use of the lift key. (No receipt issued - cash returned if no damage at end of move and cleanup).
  • In all instances, if a resident is moving themselves in or out, a total of $1250 damage and key deposit is required. No resident will be permitted to move in or out of an apartment unless the deposit is paid in advance. NO EXCEPTIONS.  (No receipt issued - cash returned if no damage at end of move and cleanup)
  • Such lift Key, must be returned upon completion. Additional fees apply if not returned.
  • Any rubbish, mess or debris is the responsibility of the occupant moving in/out to clean.   Please have a vacuum cleaner on hand to assist in this task.  Lift lobby, lifts and hallway are to be left clean and tidy.  Cleaning charges apply if management intervention is required.
  • A copy of the Removalists Insurance policy must be supplied prior to the move in/out date. 
  • No removalist will be permitted to operate on the parcel of Marina Residences unless the appropriate insurance policy is in place.
  • All items are to be brought in through the basement.
  • Moving in/out may only occur from 9am to 4pm weekdays only. 
  • Removal trucks are not permitted to park in Marina Drive outside the above hours.
  • ·All persons must take all care with the interior of the lifts and Body Corporate property.  Charges apply for any damage.


PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY HEAVY ITEMS THROUGH THE MAIN FOYER AS IT WILL DAMAGE THE MARBLE FLOOR. ALL DELIVERIES OF HOUSEHOLD ITEMS AND FURNITURE MUST BE THROUGH THE BASEMENT ONLY....

Removalist Information

 Please note the following instructions to help your moving out day run smoothly:“The Removals Group” have done many moves in this building and understand the logistics of high rise moves. Give them a call for a quote, Ben 07 55545003. They are a family operated business who seem to care which is definitely appreciated by us as they pass our painted walls etc with your furniture. They have the appropriate insurance policy in place to cover for any damage. 😊.

Be mindful what must be done, especially if a tenant..

Firstly, you need to have a full bond clean performed, carpet and pest control.  If you had pets in the apartment, the pest control must include a flea treatment as well.


Please call our highly recommended bond and carpet cleaning team who also perform the pest control. They will provide you with a quote.  I you can be assured you their work is guaranteed and up to our satisfaction.

There will be no issues with the bond clean if these cleaners are used, we cannot stress this enough. Their bond cleans INCLUDE what many other bond cleans don't for example, the cleaning of blinds, walls, windows, integrated fridge and freezer, balcony glass, aircon vents, ovens, extraction vents, laundry walls from dryer fluff, ...... so be careful using other bond cleaners, we see it time and time again, a cheaper quote but half the work done. All the above items must be included in your general bond clean.   Please use our recommended team that know the apartments well so there are no issues with your bond.


Susanna and Mario can also quote to do your carpet clean as well and will often do it cheaper as they are already onsite with their equipment. 


For Pest treatment we recommend Mario & Susanna as well or you can use George and Michael from Top Shot Pest Control on 0411 426 982.  Remember, if you have a pet, it is also a further requirement to have a flea treatment included in the pest control. 


We are happy to organise any of this for you if you prefer, please advise. 


A receipt must be provided if you choose to use your own specialists for the above work, however if we deem it not up to our standard extra cleaning charges will apply.

We suggest you move out approximately two-three days prior to your lease expiry allowing for the cleaning to be fully completed by your vacating day. It is advised you book a lift for the ease of moving. The lift can only be locked off during week days between the hours of 9am-4pm. The apartment keys need to be handed in by 5pm on your vacating date or on the Friday afternoon if your vacating day falls on a weekend.  Failure to do so will incur extra days of rent to be charged.

Trucks higher than 2m cannot park in the underground parking area.


If you are using a truck that is higher than 2m they can reverse and park to the left side of the road at the top of the ramp in front of the Energex Power transformer.  The need to trolley your furniture up to the truck.


Please be advised no furniture is to go in or out of the central foyer area, it all must go down through the basement.  The marble floor and glass doors get damaged by doing this and if this is found to be the case, you will be charged for any damage.

Disconnecting Utilities...

 You will need to also arrange with Metered Energy your final reading for Electricity, Hot Water & Gas.  Please also remember to disconnect your Telstra account.
